Do you want to learn more about the beauty benefits of Chlorella Growth Factor? We go into much more detail about CGF and how it helps promote and maintain your youthfulness in our Beauty Benefits of Chlorella Growth Factor blog.

Why You'll Never Want To Leave CGF Out Of Your Green Smoothie Again

Chlorella Growth Factor is a nutrient entirely unique to chlorella and is quite possibly the most important beauty nutrient you'll ever add to your smoothies. If you haven’t heard of CGF before, Chlorella Growth Factor is the reason why chlorella can multiply by four every 20 to 24 hours. This highly beneficial property transfers to the human body when chlorella is ingested and helps our cells to repair and regenerate.

CGF can be considered the ultimate beauty nutrient because it contains a unique combination of the nucleic acids RNA and DNA which help cells with the repair and regeneration process. As we get older, our bodies produce less RNA and DNA. This is can present a problem to cellular health because RNA and DNA are the nucleic acids that give your cells instructions on the repair and regeneration process. Without these instructions, your cells can become confused and lead to complications down the road.

The signs of aging can also become more noticeable as RNA and DNA production decline. Fine lines and wrinkles appear and tissue and wound healing slows down. This is why adding Chlorella Growth Factor to your green smoothies from Sun Chlorella Granules is an excellent way to help keep you and your cells youthful.Of course there are other benefits of chlorella, such as being an excellent nutritional supplement for energy, a great source of plant-based protein and an ideal post-workout supplement to help reduce recovery time.

Complimentary Anti-Aging Healthy Green Smoothie Foods

This healthy green smoothie recipe contains several other foods known to further promote cellular health and slow the aging process:

Blueberries
Blueberries have become the nutritional Holy Grail for healthy cells. And that’s because blueberries are one of the highest fruit sources for antioxidants.Antioxidants are important for everyone to have in their diet because they help disarm free radicals (damaged cells) that can lead to illness and disease and speed up the aging process. Antioxidants also help promote clear, glowing skin and a healthy cardiovascular system.

Green Tea
Green tea is another food that is famous for slowing the aging process and is now found as an active ingredient in several anti-aging skin care products from face washes to face masks to repairing serums and herbal supplements. This is because green tea is high in polyphenols, an antioxidant compound that may help fight off illness and disease [1]. Green tea also contains different types of catechins, with the most popular catechin for youth being EGCg or epigallocatechin gallate.EGCg has been studied for its ability to promote metabolic and cardiovascular health [2] and may be the reason why green tea has been long considered a health drink. To receive a therapeutic amount of EGCg in your diet, it’s suggested to consume approximately 5-6 cups of green tea per day[3].This healthy green smoothie recipe calls for a chilled cup of green tea or matcha powder. Pure matcha powder is said to be much higher in EGCg than regular green tea, although you’ll still receive it from regular green tea too.

Spinach
Every leafy green is good for your health and wellness, but spinach is extremely high in the antioxidant vitamins A and C. 1 cup of spinach contains over half of your daily recommended intake of Vitamin A, which is needed for healthy, youthful looking skin and good eyesight.Spinach also contains vitamin K which is needed for cognitive function, while vitamin C keeps your immune system and cells strong.

BananaBananas are said to be a good beauty food due to their high potassium content. The potassium content in bananas helps work against the water retention that can be caused by high amounts of sodium, which can further lead to cellulite. While this is a nutrition speculation, in theory it does make sense. Either way, bananas also help promote a healthy cardiovascular system, healthy bowel movements and body detoxification, which are essential to maintaining your youth and vitality.

Avocado
Avocado is a heart healthy monounsaturated fat and an excellent source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants which are all needed to combat the aging process.Avocados are particularly high in vitamin C, but also contain B vitamins to help promote healthy skin and a happy mood. After all, we know how great stress is at helping us age quickly!
