The holidays can be a challenging time to keep your health and wellness a priority with sugar cookies, hot chocolate and shortbread flying about. But it doesn't have to be that way.

While you'll certainly want to enjoy a few treats this holiday season, one of the tricks to being mindful of your health during the festivities is to find healthy dessert recipes. Instead of using white sugar or brown sugar in your holiday baking, try using a substitute such as coconut sugar or raw honey instead. You can also swap out white flour for a whole grain flour such as spelt or kamut, and there are even healthy recipes for eggnog, stuffing, cranberry jelly and gravy online. In general, the less number of highly processed ingredients you use, the better your health will be.

This healthy dessert recipe is time-friendly (it can be made in under ten minutes) and it uses real, whole and plant-based ingredients that are full of antioxidant vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. The bonus ingredient in this healthy dessert recipe is Chlorella Growth Factor, also known as CGF, which is found in a high concentration in Sun Wakasa Honey Plus.

If you're unfamiliar with CGF, it's the nutrient unique to chlorella that allows it to multiply by four times every 20-24 hours. This is a one-of-a-kind characteristic, and precisely why chlorella growth factor is so beneficial to cellular health. CGF provides the body with RNA and DNA to help repair and regenerate cells, which also slows signs of aging.

The avocado in this recipe contains heart healthy fats that slow the release of natural sugars, such as coconut sugar, into your bloodstream. This is exactly why you won't experience an energy crash or spike after eating this healthy dessert. Instead you'll feel energized from the slow releasing stable energy that the oats, Sun Wakasa Honey Plus and healthy fats provide when combined together.

Coconut oil is another blood sugar balancing ingredient in this healthy dessert recipe that has antibacterial properties to help boost your immune system. Coconut oil is known to help the liver do its jobs more efficiently, therefore promoting overall body detoxification. What more could you ask for from a healthy dessert recipe?
