Life is too short… You work a full time job, take care of your family, make time to see your friends, and even try to squeeze in a quick sweat-sesh at the gym some days. After all this, you may barely get enough time to make yourself a healthy home cooked-meal. Taking care of your health is all about balance but there may be days when you end up overindulging in a pint of double-chocolate ice cream or a box of fudge cookies—feeling guilty about seemingly putting your health aside.
When life gets difficult, remember that there are simple tips to keep your health on track, such as prepping your weekday meals on Sundays, clearing your pantry of junk food, and having a few simple and healthy go-to dessert recipes for those days you just can’t kick your sugar cravings.
Here’s one of our favorites. Treat yourself once in a while to this rich and creamy Chlorella Cocoa-cado Pudding—not only is it raw and vegan, but it’s also rich and creamy, and gives you tons of heart-healthy vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids to kick your cravings to the curb. What’s the best part? It only takes 10 minutes to make.
Yield: 3-4 servings
Ingredients:
3 ripe avocados, pitted and peeled
7 dates, pitted
3 Tbsp coconut nectar (add more for a sweeter pudding)
1 Tbsp coconut oil
3 Tbsp cacao powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup water
Raspberries and whipped coconut cream, to top
Directions:
Blend all ingredients on high until smooth and creamy. If the pudding is too thick, add 2 Tbsp water until a desired consitency is reached. Enjoy!
