Father's Day shopping can be a stressful task, especially when you haven't a clue what your special someone wants or needs. But if you're worried about leaving the mall empty handed (or with that same pair of socks again this year), we've got you covered with these 7 healthy gifts for dad for Father's Day.

Now, these gift ideas can apply to anyone, not just the health conscious. As long as your special someone likes to eat, enjoys spending time outdoors, needs stress relief or is looking to invite healthier habits into his life, these Father's Day gift ideas for health and wellness are sure to please.

With that being said, here are 7 healthy gifts for Dad that your special someone will love.

1. Personal Training Session

A few personal training sessions is an easy gift to buy for Dad that will be appreciated by anyone looking to improve their health. And best of all, designated gym time will give your special someone an excuse to take extra time for their own self-care.

Most gyms offer personal training sessions and a variety of packages to accommodate different levels of fitness. If time is an issue in your loved one's schedule, there are also many online personal training options that can be done in the comfort of their own home.

Thanks to the convenience of the interwebs, many personal trainers have taken their businesses online to offer pre-recorded fitness programs and often release new weekly workouts on their own personal membership sites. Not only do these workout options fit into any kind of lifestyle, but they're also a low cost alternative to the gym.

To find an online workout program, all you have to do is enter a simple Google search for online workout programs. All personal trainers have different styles, so I'll avoid listing specific recommendations. However, Askmen.com features and reviews some of the best of online fitness programs to choose from.

2. A BPA Free Water Bottle and Sweat Towel

Now, you can't send Dad off to a workout without a water bottle and sweat towel. Whether he loves spending time on the golf course, outdoors in nature or pumping iron at the gym, he'll find use for a water bottle and sweat towel.

When choosing a new water bottle for your special someone, consider purchasing a BPA-free water bottle, made from stainless steel ( Kleen Kanteen is a popular brand).

BPA is a chemical found in plastic water bottles that leaches into drinking water. BPA is dangerous to the body because it mimics the female sex hormone, estrogen. Having elevated estrogen levels in your blood can contribute to throwing off the natural balance of your body's hormones, and eventually lead to a condition called estrogen dominance [1]. Estrogen dominance may sound like it only affects females, because estrogen is a female hormone- but it commonly affects both men and women.

Even if your special someone isn't a fitness freak, he can still effortlessly improve his health by drinking his water from a chemical-free water bottle.

3. Sun Chlorella Tablets or Granules

Give your special someone the gift of energy from natural vitamins, minerals and antioxidants found in this amazing green superfood.

Sun Chlorella tablets and Sun Chlorella granules are made from a pure, pulverized form of highly digestible chlorella pyrenoidosa, which is a superior strain of chlorella for promoting natural detoxification[2].

Chlorella is a superior nutritional supplement because it contains a nutrient called Chlorella Growth Factor, or CGF. CGF contains the nucleic acids RNA and DNA, which are needed by your cells for repair and regeneration. It's suggested that these nucleic acids and the amino acids found in chlorella are what make it such a powerful superfood for post-workout recovery and muscle and tissue repair.

Additionally, Sun Chlorella contains an active form of vitamin B12 to help increase energy levels naturally, as well as dietary fiber to help promote healthy blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Sun Chlorella tablets can be taken as a nutritional supplement or blended into smoothies. Sun Chlorella granules have a finer, versatile texture that instantly enhance the nutritional value of any beverage, juice or smoothie.

4. Stainless Steel Grill Tools

If your special someone likes to grill up a storm, let him cook for health in style with chemical-free stainless steel grill tools. And besides, barbeque season has arrived!

Like water bottles, choosing a chemical-free material for your cooking tools is important to avoid absorbing any toxins that can transfer to food from various synthetic materials.

Stainless steel cooking tools are not only a health conscious choice for cooking utensils, but are also economically friendly since their durability allows them to last several years. Stainless steel grill tools can be purchased at almost any home hardware store or home accessories store.

5. Organic Gras Fed Meat

With barbeque season comes grilled vegetables, and meat, of course. If your special someone is a meat and potato lover, giving them the gift of organic grass-fed meat is one of the easiest ways you can contribute to promoting their overall health and wellness.

Factory farmed animal products (such as turkey, beef and poultry) aren't the best food to consume for health because they're often injected with growth hormones and antibiotics, and may also be fed poor quality food, such as GMO corn [3]. When we eat the animals, we're also absorbing all of the toxins and chemicals they've been exposed to, which can then get stored in our fat cells[4]. When these toxins accumulate, they can not only contribute to weight gain, but also promote illness and disease.

Organic grass-fed meat is also higher in omega 3 essential fatty acids than factory farmed animal products, which is an essential nutrient for reducing the inflammation associated with cardiovascular disease [5]. Your special someone likely has their personal preference when it comes to what kind of meat to barbeque. But if they're open to it, choosing lean wild-game meats such as bison or elk offer increased anti-inflammatory benefits and less saturated fat[6].

6. New Headphones

If you're still stuck on healthy gift ideas for Dad, quality earbuds are an accessory that can please just about anyone who listens to music on their iPod or smartphone. Having a good playlist to look forward to may be just what your special someone needs as motivation for the gym or quick outdoor jog.

7. Organic Sun Eleuthero

We're all exposed to the stressors of everyday life on a regular basis, and your special someone is no exception. While exercise, regular sleep and a healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals all contribute to managing stress levels, sometimes the body needs extra support on a cellular level.

Organic Sun Eleuthero is an adaptogenic herb which means it has properties that help the body cope and adapt to stressful situations. Organic Sun Eleuthero (also known as Siberian Ginseng) is often referred to as "The King” of adaptogenic herbs because it's been shown to be particularly effective for also improving energy and endurance naturally.

Organic Sun Eleuthero has also been shown to help repair the cellular damage caused by stress because it helps increase the body's production of the Hsp72 molecule [7]. Hsp72 has been shown to not only repair cellular damage, but to also maintain lean muscle mass that can deteriorate with age[8].Organic Sun Eleuthero tablets can be taken daily as a nutritional supplement or in liquid form with Sun Eleuthero extract.

Regardless of what you may choose to gift your loved one this year, nothing quite measures up to any material surprise as much as quality time with family and friends. We're wishing you happiness and health in your Father's Day celebrations this year!
