SUMMARY: 

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for a variety of general warehouse tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to receiving and shipping of goods, inventory control, order pulling, packing, quality control.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Pick, Pack, and seal product into a variety of different sized shipping boxes 

  • Move materials and items from receiving to assigned areas

  • Mark materials appropriately with identifying information 

  • Ensure that the Fulfillment department is accessible and safe for employees and visitors 

  • Sweep, dust, and organize warehouse and work area

  • Use sit-down and stand-up forklifts (forklift certification desired but not a requirement)

  • Use computer system to record quantities of materials or items received or distributed

  • Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders

  • Prepare parcels for mailing 

  • Able to lift 60 lb. boxes

  • Processes international orders, which include bagging, weighing and filling out the proper labels and waybills.

  • Conducts the cGMP procedures – removing/labeling items removed for the reserve samples. Management will assist with these procedures.

  • Gathers and prepares expo / show materials for shipment. Ensures all supplies are accounted for before shipping out and inventoried when materials are returned

  • Responsible for preparing / distribution of the employee monthly samples. 

  • Responsible to assist with the general maintenance of the warehouse and building which includes but not limited to the following: sweeping and mopping, painting, spot cleaning of carpet, replacing of light bulbs, replacing of water filters, fountain upkeep (lobby), moving of furniture and rearrangement of furniture, removal or installation of office furniture (keyboard trays, arms from chairs, etc.), removal of trash. 

  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.

Qualifications:

  • Organization skills a must 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must

  • Excellent written and oral skills

  • Knowledge of storage, record keeping, customs, and inventory methods

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing a plus

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds over head

  • Must have a flexible work schedule

  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least one year of related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 

Forklift certification preferred.
