By simply using a superfood like a chlorella in a homemade recipe, these tasty treats of youth are transformed into plant-powered powerhouses of nutrition and flavor.

Jason Wrobel takes us through this easy recipe for homemade gummy bears that includes Sun Chlorella Powder, a fine chlorella powder that is rich in protein, iron, zinc, antioxidants, chlorophyll, and manganese. Think of it as a super yummy vitamin that mixes and dissolves easily into almost any recipe.

     Ingredients


    • 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice

    • 1 tbs fresh squeezed lemon juice

    • 2 tbs coconut nectar, organic

    • 3 tbs agar agar

    • 1 ½ tsp Sun Chlorella Powder

    Method

    Add the orange juice, lemon juice, and coconut nectar to a sauce pan and set to medium heat.

    • Slowly whisk the mixture. Let the mixture heat up until small bubbles form.

    • Slowly add agar to sauce pan while whisking.

    • Simmer on low heat for 3 to 5 minutes until the agar is fully dissolved.

    • Let mixture cool down for a few minutes.

    • Add Sun Chlorella Powder and gently whisk.

    • Working quickly, pour mixture into a squeeze bottle then squeeze into molds.

    • Freeze for 20-30 minutes

    • Pop gummy bears out of molds and enjoy!
